I've never made a map for any game before, but I've been playing with the unreal
editor and picking up the basics. Can anyone suggest some good basic tutorials
on mapping?
I already know about the unreal wiki, but their tutorials are kind of lacking
for beginners.

The main problem I have now is placing actors in the room I made. For example
I'm trying to make a jump pad. I looked at other maps, and the one I saw
consisted of a wildcardbase, an emitter and a utjumppad. But when I put the
base down, it doesn't show up when I play the map. It shows up find in the
editor though.

If anyone can point me in the direction of some tutorials, or can help me with
the above problem, it would be appreciated.
