Question Maps app for Win 10 Desktop

In System Settings > Default Apps, as well as setting your default browser, there is a Maps option. I know there is an in-built 'Maps' app, but are there any other decent/better maps apps for Win 10?

The difficulty, I am having with your post/question is the definition of "decent/better".

Overall, those words are subjective.

What are your requirements? What do you what from a Maps app?

Overall, when it comes to needing map information I find that Google Earth is quite suitable for my requirements.

Windows 10' built-in Maps application has the benefit of storing maps locally. Online maps have limited support for offline caching.

As for "other applications": I Preferred (also Microsoft') "Streets and trips" over Maps, but it is no longer developed. If you own (eg Garmin) stand-alone GPS device, there's good chance it will have Windows counterpart as well.
