While I am far from any kind of 'fan' of Microsoft (all my PCs run Linux with Windows only appearing occasionally in a VM), I'm also the last to jump on the bashwagon. Hotmail is still a quite useful email provider, despite seventeen years of Microsoft ownership and the spam filters on it work as good or better when compared to Google, Yahoo, or Cox (my ISP).
