Hi Everyone,

I have a 4 Gig stick of Samsung PC3L-12800S RAM which I would like to pair up with a 4 Gig stick of Hynix PC3L-12800S RAM.

The exact RAM specifications are as follows -

Samsung 4GB 1Rx8 PC3L-12800S-11-13-B4

Hynix 4GB 2Rx8 PC3L-12800S-11-12-F3

Will the above two RAM stick 'play well' together?

Kind Regards,

Davo

Solution
They might and they should, but no guarantees. You can get the same stick as your ram and they might not run, that's why they are sold in kits, however if you have the option to return the ram, then buy it and give it a try, should work.

There are no guarantees when trying to mix DRAM from different packages - even if you get another identical Corsair stick....take a look through the forums and you'll find thread after thread of people having problems ;) If you try and have problems, give a shout and we can try voltage/timing adjustments
