[Marvel Vs] opinions?

So, what do y'all think of the Marvel Vs card game? I had my first
look at it the other day, when I borrowed a nice little Sentinels deck
from my buddy and played against the Spider-Friends deck he'd just put
together. I ended up rolling right over him, partially because most
of the Sentinels characters have both Range and Flight, but also
because I just got a better start and he was never able to catch up.

Anyway, I had fun pounding the snot out of Spidey & Co., and the basic
mechanics seem OK at first glance, but I was a little worried that the
game was so one-sided. My buddy says that's not usual, though. I can
take or leave the comic-book stuff, but is this a good game?

TIA,

The rules quite clear and the game works as a brisk tactical
beat-em-up. But, it has several negatives IMO:

* lacklustre art - remarkable given that it's based on the comics

* no real support for multiplayer play

* lots of number-crunching as you go through the same combat routine
again and again

* the money prizes on offer are attracting sharks

It's trying to supplant Magic as the game of choice for the Pro-Tour
crowd and it will be interesting to see if they can make this work.

Thanks for the feedback, Andrew. Much obliged.
