Marvel VS. Origins editions

From a casual player's (ie, not a collector) perspective,
what's the practical difference between 1st Edition and
Unlimited? I went to Potomac's site to see what the price
is for a box of boosters and the difference is just under
$20 with 1st Edition being the more expensive.
If I plan on playing and not really collecting, will I be
missing anything if I just by the Unlimited which is much
cheaper?

I don't believe so. The cardset is the same, and
perhaps the only difference (if any) is corrected card
text to reflect errata and rulings.
