So, a few days ago my PC started acting up. When playing league of legends i suddenly heard an array of beeps and the pc froze several times a minute. The amount of beeps were varying, and it was only in the headset. Restarting fixed that.

I haven't heard any more beeps but my PC is really slow right now. Yesterday I played CSGO there was a really annoying issue that made my fps alternate between 300 and 5 fps once a second, so it felt like I had about 400 ping.

Furthermore I've had mouse lag on the desktop and pretty much everything runs really slow. It seemed like a graphics issue due to the fps, but might be the processor/HDD too I assume.

Pretty much all the components in the PC were replaced about 4 months ago.

I ran a virusscan that came up clean a few days ago, so I'm at a loss here.

Solution
with the card installed........... go into the device manager and uninstall the graphics card. reboot. let windows find it. after it's done ( it will say installed or not installed properly in the lower right corner when done )........................ then go to windows updates. install updates. it will probably want to reboot when done. then go back to W-U and look again.
Run an anti-root kit scan using something like malware bytes
Check for background processes running using resource manager in windows
Check your heat levels if they are quite high that might be the problem (If it is try cleaning out any dust)

Could you list me your whole build components RAM, CPU, GFX, PSU, MOBO.

Also is your graphics card drivers up to date? Are you using a beta driver or a official release driver for you gfx card? Are your motherboard drivers installed and up to date e.g chipset and sound drivers?

Drivers should be ok. Working on the software stuff now, will open up pc after.

Nice mobo bought my GF one of those and same RAM small world 😀 if all you drivers are installed it is starting to sound more and more like a graphics issue try a furmark stress test and monitor your fps on there if you are getting really low frame rates it willbe a graphics issue same goes if it BSOD or crashes if so I hope your GFX is still in warranty as it sounds like its defective sorry bud.

Cant seem to reproduce the bug right now with MSI Kombustor, running steady 130-140 FPS. I am getting small freezes while typing this though. Malwarebytes scan has been stuck at the same number of files scanned for about 30 minutes, so yeah.

Apparently when I try to reinstall the nvidia driver it just says that it doesnt find compatible hardware. I'll try another PCI slot for the graphics card once the malwarescan finishes.
