i loaded up bf3, a game where i usually get 100+ fps. as soon as i got in i was getting around 14-15 fps. i had to shut it down. same thing in league of legends, where i could achieve 400+ fps if i wanted. i loaded up core temp and my cpu temps were fine. graphics cards temps were fine. running nothing else in the backround except my video card temp program. i have an idea it may be the beta drivers i have. but wondering if anything else can cause this?

i7 2600k
2 gtx 580 3g's
asus maximus iv extreme z
dell u3011 monitor
thermaltake 1200w power supply
crucial m4 ssd

now i did just do a reformat a couple days ago. but everything is installed all drivers for everything so that shouldnt be the problem

once i restarted my computer, all seemed to be fine
i have a slight feeling it could be the power supply, but since this is happening so close to my reformat, my attention draws more to something that happened there. but nothing i can think of

Yeah your thermaltake is not the best PSU out there. Are any of your temps over 80c? Have you tried game boost? If you can try another PSU in your system and maybe just one card at a time plus check your ram.

I will link you to gameboost and memtest 86+. But really try to check out your PSU since you really think it could be the problem. I to have a bad PSU and I have to be very careful what I am doing.

The gamebooster really helps when playing games it might be just what you are looking for. I wish you good luck.
