Massive Frame Drop After CPU Cooler Install

Hello All,

I recently upgraded my CPU cooler to an NZXT Kraken X62. Previously I was using a Raijintek AIO cooler and wanted something a little nicer. Before the upgrade, I was averaging 300-400 fps in CS:GO. After the new install, I'm averaging 100-150fps, with lots of stuttering.

Keeping the CAM software up while I play, my GPU (MSI GTX 980ti) is sitting at a comfortable 100% load the entire time(which i have read mixed reviews about remaining under 100
%) while maintaining 60-70 degrees. The CPU (7700k @4.8) is comfortable at 20-35% usage as well. keep in mind I'm playing at 1920x1080 with all settings on low.

I booted another more GPU/CPU intensive game like Witcher 3 and my load drops to 70% on my GPU and my CPU naturally rises slightly 5-10%. All temps are comfortable, and gaming was perfect and buttery smooth at 2560x1440.

I made no changes to my software, launch options, or anything else, simply a 1:1 swap for a cooler with the addition of a few fans. I also did a fresh install of CS:GO and the poor frames continued.

Can someone please try and explain what is going on?

Solution
Don't use the CAM software or have it running in the backround if you can prevent it. It eats up your CPU and temps will go all over the place with it (from experence.)
