I've recently been experiencing huge frame drops whilst playing games. My CPU and GPU performance both seem to drop simultaneously for anywhere between 10 seconds to a few minutes. I'll provide any info to find out what's causing this.

Specs;
CPU: AMD FX 8350
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 970 SLI
MOBO: MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard
RAM: 16GB Corsair XM3 DDR3
PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 G2

Screenshots of task manager, speedfan and CPU-Z (Stats 2 image is with an external fan being used to see if temp was causing the issues)

What games?

the FX chips are terrible and SLI is dead, that won’t be helping

Pretty much anything I play can have sudden frame drops it isn't anything specifically. When you say SLI is dead do you just mean no one does it anymore? Never used to have these problems

Anything specific?

SLI support has been on a downtrend for years and it’s rare for it to be supported now.
Ok I didn't realize. It's been a while since I upgraded anything. I've been playing Overwatch, GTA 5 and Halo Reach mostly and all of them have had issues.
