Alright dudes, so here's the deal.

Very recently I've been having a problem to where when i'm tabbed into CS:GO, my ping shoots up to well over 1500. I've been playing cs:go for months now without any issue whatsoever so that pretty much rules out the problem with my connection being wireless.

The funny thing is, is that when I alt+tab from the game and go to desktop; the ping goes straight down. I literally have never had a problem with my internet except for when tabbed into the game.

I've done several registry fixes i've seen on the steam forums in hopes of fixing it to no avail.

this is my first time on THW, so forgive me if i'm in the wrong subforum.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm itching to play some CS 🙁

Solution
I'm experiencing the exact same trouble when playing CS:GO and bf3, I blamed my qualcomm atheros wifi in my asus N550JK but it worked perfectly at my friend's. The weirest part is the fact it's going back down as soon as I go back to the desktop... not to mention I can play 10 round straight and being disconected on the 11th.
It is very annoying and I have no idea what to do after trying the latest driver and even playing on European servers (I live in France) does not really help.
I really don't understand where does the ping spikes come from !!
