[SOLVED] Masterwatt or MWE

Hi,

I'm consdering a R5 2600 and a GTX 1070 (Ti maybe), mainly for gaming at 1080p.

For PSU, I see a CM Masterwatt 550W Bronze Power and a CM MWE 550W Gold. Which would be better? I see from the list that the Masterwatt is Tier 3 as compared to MWE which is Tier 4, plus the Mastewatt is like 10$ cheaper for me.

As for other PSU, it's quite hard to find most of the PSU in Tier 1 and 2 where I am

I will not pick either if possible. Country and budget on the psu? Don't simply trust those tier list, could be misleading sometime.

For a highish end system I’d say go fkr a Seassonic, Corsair RMX, EVGA G2/3 etc

GD models are a decent choice , much better than the CoolerMaster.

Seasonic are generally great just pick a wattage and you’ll be fine.

EVGA G models are generally good. BQ models aren’t bad either.

Thanks for the suggestions. I realize that so far the suggestions are only for 650watts.

Curious, is 550w insufficient? No plans on overclocking

You could run those Components on a very good 450w.

A decent 550w is more than enough.

more than enough, 1070/ti pulls max ~180W, CPU ~120 W or less.

550w would be plenty even with the card as a 1070ti.

That's NOT a 520W PSU, it's a 480W PSU.

You need at least one of the good 550W PSU's that was recommended above.
