mata hari + baldesar

The combo is obvious, but the actual deck is a bit tough to hash out.

Sure, you share two disciplines and only at inferior (aus for), but
there's a lot of cheap permanents availible. Any clan specific location
at a one pool discount. Cheaper clan specific equipment.

Hook up with Ankara Citedel via Sibyl's Tongue, and then get a Dis
Pater to give Baldesar some bleed and get rid of your extra Tongue.

Go for odd allies and retainers, hook up with warghouls and then eat
the dead allies with Bald for some zombies. Hook him up with the Sargon
Fragment... or give it to Mata Hari. Or include Heidelburg Castle, and
pass it, and other good (clan specific) equipment around (Erebus mask,
Living Manse, Sword of Nuln).

Then you add all of these good clan specific locations: Crocodile
Temple, Island of Yiaros (+2 strength for Mata), Secret Library for
free, Slaughterhouse (if you like that whole discard thing) for free,
Ventrue Headquarters for free, and waste management for free to cycle
those sybl's if you don't have the dis pater yet).

Who knows what the deck actually does, or what it can do, but there's a
lot of opportunity for some good cheap things here...

Erebus Mask won't work so well, since it doesn't do anything for the
minion who has it if they're not a Harbinger. But otherwise, yeah, Mata
Hari kitchen sink-ness could be fun.

Old news in Chicago.

Insurance Scam deck. Parthenons, Secure Havens, Slaughterhouses,
Storage Annexes aplenty. A wide range of other cheap/free locations:
Police, Filchware's, Dummy, Crocodile, Background Check, Rumor Mill,
Ventrue Headquarters and so on.

Actions in the deck: Rumors of Gehenna. Brinksmanship.

No bleed necessary. Card recycling with Anthelios, Waste Management,
Al's if desired.

No room for allies.

No room for non-location equipment. Palatial Estate is worth a thought.

Gain many non-trivial location advantages. Bloat as needed. Deplete
prey's library. Oust.

And the insurance scam buys you back some pool. Excellent. What about
Dominique + Mata Hari and blood costing locations? Not as good, eh?

OK, mister. How are you passing either of those?

Oh, well... I wasn't really offering ONE deck idea, more as a
thousand...

Not in YOUR version of the deck, no, not really. Though couriers could
help (though why are you bleeding? To get the edge maybe?)

Baldesar reduces the cost of equipment by one, also.

which usually does not make it for succesful decks, especially when the
vamps have no real political weight, and cost 7+8 = 15 total pool only
to be able to save a few pool...
i am not convinced. :/

at this point, someone will just jump in and point me that there are
succesful prince deck that share almost no discipline. yes, but they are
prince, so they have political weight and access to traditions, parity
shift etc... nothing you can compare with the puny "2votes" from mata.
did i also mention she is redlist and can be easily wasted the second sh
has a knee on the ground ? sometime a inferior revelation is all it
takes for one player to inform the whole table that mat's controller
hase zero defence and can be wiped out...
the more i think about it, the more i prefer tatiana stepanova over mata
hari...

2-3 copies of Charming Lobby for votes/DI protection. 2-3 Awe. 2
Forgotten Labrynth. 2 Elder Impersonation.

With Awe and Ventrue Headquarters.

Ozmo better have a way around Baldesar's bounce. Jimmy better have a
way around a Secure Haven.

No deck is invulnerable, of course, but this is one of the best
implementations of Slaughterhouse I've seen, likely on par with the
Anson + Agiatas deck from the tournament-winning archives.

I'm sorry... where's your pre/PRE? Skill cards? Spontaneous Power?
Other minions? Sword of Triole?

Ventrue HQ yes. Faraille, yes. Awe... what?

I think she is good in decks that rely on her own disciplines and just
fits in with any clan, but more as a support vampire than the main star
of the deck. e.g she partners well with francois villon to play some
sensory deprivation for example.

I envy your optimism.
Playing a 2 discipline inferior deck, clogging your hand with master
cards and clan cards, and hoping you'll have the secure haven before a 4
cap rushes a red list out of existence is like playing soccer on the
highway 4.
but you are still free to do what you want.
