Matching a $650/$800 pre-built?

While browsing my options for a new PC, I've mostly taken building into consideration over buying a pre-built. However I'm a bit unsure about some things.

Here are two pre-builts I found, both highly rated, one for $649.99: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc-gamer-ultra-desktop-amd-fx-6300-8gb-memory-amd-radeon-rx-560-1tb-hard-drive-black/6072200.p?skuId=6072200

and one for $799.99: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc-gamer-ultra-desktop-amd-ryzen-5-1400-8gb-memory-amd-radeon-rx-580-1tb-hard-drive-black/5833100.p?skuId=5833100

For reference, my build I have planned so far is this:

I understand the first pre-built I linked to is running on an old CPU, although it would seem to me that the 2nd pre-built I listed is not only cheaper than my current build, but also includes some peripherals (mouse, keyboard) and reviews say it can handle modern AAA games at high settings.

My questions is, if I'm wanting to run games like Battlefield 1 and GTA V at high or ultra settings at 60 fps, which is the better option? I know pre-builts are only viable right now due to GPU prices, but is the one I listed any good? It seems the reviews all say it can handle most games on high settings at 1080p, and I'm on just a 60hz monitor.

Is there anyway I can bring the price of my planned build down to match that of the pre-builts while getting good performance?

Thoughts?

Often with a build like those listed above, the PSU or one other component(or more) are left to the curb...and you learn of that pretty late into your purchase. Ryzen 5 with Ultra settings at 1080p, might be possible for BF1 and perhaps on GTA V but you're going to need to tweak the settings.

Not that it'll net you Ultra level gaming settings but it will help you get your feet wet.

But your build will need DDR4-3200MHz rams and the motherboard you've chosen has had some bad run ins with the community, requesting end users to RMA over and over again.

Over, but if you can go for this it will be very good because the 1060 6 GB is essentially THE card for 1080p gaming, and the 240GB SSD will be plenty fo storage for 1 or 2 games and the OS. The RAM is clocked at 3000Mhz to pair well with the Ryzen 5 1600.
Also allows for future upgrades.

This build you listed seems pretty good but I'm definitely going for at least a 1060 3gb GPU. That said I'm curious about the issues you spoke of with the motherboard. I'm not very knowledgeable on motherboards or cases, so could you clarify what exactly the issue was? What should I look for in general in a motherboard and case?

I'd also like to know your thoughts on cases, the one you linked me seems to not have very many reviews at all, on this website or amazon, which has me concerned. Thanks for the response.
