Okay,

Giftzwerg's AAR has me seriously thinking about grabbing FG, have never used
Digital Downlad however, so am wondering if you are issued a code, etc. for
the game in case you have to re-download again at a later date?

Thanks

You get a license code to apply to the downloaded file and setup the
game. If you save off the page that appears after you buy the game, you
can download the game file as many time as you like via the HTTP link
that appears.

And I can't imagine why Matrix would object to anyone downloading the
game file who had obtained a valid license code; that's the whole point,
in fact.

I've done business with these "DigitalRiver" folks off-and-on over many
years; it's all pretty straightforward.

With the standard cost of 35 bucks you get the right to download for 30
days. Download it and burn a copy of the zip file and the extracted file
to a CD or two. For extra money (10$ ??) you can get unlimited download
rights.

An interesting way of putting it. I suppose that having the company send
you the installation files on a CD can be considered a form of "unlimited
download". 😛
