Matshita DVD Ram UJ8A0ASW doesn't read/see any BLANK DVDs but reads filled dvd's fine

My dvd drive reads DVD's well but it doesnt read blank dvd's. It acts as if its still reading, the 'my computer' window becomes slow and there's no error message.
I cant burn anything. The drive is DVD RW.
Can anyone please help tell me whats wrong?

Reading other threads, i cleaned the lens and it reads fine now 😀
I guess i shouldnt have made this thread
