Matshita ujda340 ata device stuurprogramma

I have a Toshiba Satelite A135-S4467 laptop.
Recently the Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-850S ATA device stopped working.
The computer shows an ERROR CODE 10 (Device cannot start).
I have checked for driver updates and the computer says the device
driver is up to date but it still shows an Error Code 10!
What do I do to get it working again?
