Hello. I am planning to build an SFF computer and I thought about buying a Dell 990 SFF case and power supply for it. My question is : will a mATX motherboard and the Dell 990 SFF power supply fit inside the case ?

The 990 SSF doesn't use a standard mATX mobo. It's more like DTX, but wayyy wider. You'd have to use mITX.

Keep in mind there's only a single 80mm intake fan in the case. You'll need a new, low-profile CPU cooler (the stock dell one won't fit a standard CPU socket placement) which will be downdraft. This means you'll have to keep a pretty low CPU power output.

Dell typically uses some sort of proprietary front panel power/USB connector to attach to the mobo. I cant make out a mobo header that would supply this functionality on the pic below except for the header next to the rear panel audio port cluster. Usually you'd be able to...

Don't bother. Pre-made PC's are mostly prepiatory in ways you don't want to deal with. The fitmit for a pre-built PC layouts set in stone. Chances of a 3rd party mother board having the same rear configuration of the case will not be even close without modifications. Still may not work Buy a REAL case.

Usually you'd be able to splice off the power button cables, but getting the front panel USB reconnected may not be possible (depending on your skills)

Luckily it looks like the 990 SSF mobo accepts a 24pin PSU power (and 4pin EPS) so the stock PSU could plug into a standard mobo. The PSU might be TFX form factor (albeit longer than standard TFX)
