[SOLVED] Max bus speed limits CPU performance?

a have a g31mx-k motherboard, the Max Bus Speed is listed as 1333. Does this means if I connect a 2,6MHz cpu it will throttle at 1,3MHz? Or is it the mas speed it comunicated with my 800MHz ram? Old mobo for work only.

cpu have multiplier
go to the motherboard manufacturer website to see what cpu is supported.

That is an old FSB based CPU. So the bus speed is access to your ram, HDDs, DSP, Ethernet, etc. The FSB does not throttle your CPUs performance. It just speaks to the rest of the system for you.
