[SOLVED] Max Gaming Monitor Specs for AMD Nitro R9 390 GPU

Hi,
Looking to buy a new monitor (currently using ASUS VH238). What would you recommend as upper threshold for specs on gaming monitor with following components:

GPU: Sapphire Nitro R9 390
CPU: i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz
RAM: 16 GB
OS: Windows 10

I don't want to buy a 27" 1440p 144Hz monitor with a 1ms response rate if my GPU can't power it. Don't plan on replacing my GPU anytime soon either.

They are pretty old. Get a 1080p monitor and you shouldn't have a problem.

Thanks SteveRX4! I thought my GPU was getting a little long in the tooth. Will have to wait to upgrade before moving up on the monitor.
