I want to get the MOST video card I can for gaming, seems the one i have is quite outdated and there are titles I want to play, but my video card doesnt meet minimums.

CURRENT VIDEO CARD AND SYSTEM:
VIDEO CARD:ATI RADEON HD 4800 Series / 4850
Mobo: DQ57TM
CPU:Lynnfield i5 750
RAM:16gig DDR3
HDD: SSD sata II

Intel says as long as power requirements are met by pwr supply, just make sure its PCIe 2.0 X16

My eyes are bleeding from researching and not really getting anywhere.

I cant seem to get a str8 answer about what the most powerful PCIe 2.0 x16 video card is !
(and i am not sure i understand half the stuff I am reading to find one)

PLEASE HELP ! Thank You.

Thank you,
A generic something or other, 300 watt. It will have to go, I am sure.
GTX960, do you have a particular model/version/brand in mind that is better than others?
Looks like is 3.0 X 16

I read on intels site that anything higher than PCIe 2.0 X 16 would be a waste. Is this still true? or will the huge advances to
PCIe 3.0 X 16 be better utilized than Intel says it will? . (I know a long time ago, what a mobo could actually do wasnt ever really known till a few years after it came out, and consumer /user sites would have the actual Min/Max specs.)

Well budget is about making the most out of this pc. I cant afford to just build a new one.
Once I find out what is gonna work the best, I need to see if its worth it cost wise, budget, save, buy.
$200 for a video card? yikes.. but.. i still need to find some answers about them. I dont know if 3.0X16 PCIe is gonna be worth it. my mobo is 2.0. lets say i do go 200$ a vid card, then I guess 100$ to make sure its powered and cooled would seem legit.
