What is the max GPU that my FX 6300 @4.50 Ghz can run without any bottleneck. I play games like BF4, Crysis 3, Far Cry 4, Dragon Age Inquistion, Shadow of Mordor, PES and FIFA. I am selling my two old R9 270's for around 120 eur each. What should I get instead because i'm tired of dual GPU's?

get a 970 or a 980 if budget allows

Tip:
There is no way that a gpu bottlenecks a cpu, it is technically impossible. The gpu play no role in cpu calculations, nor does it have any impact on the maximum information the cpu can receive. It's just not the way things work.

With a weaker gpu, you'll get less frames per second than with a stronger one, but the cpu performance will stay EXACTLY the same.

With a weaker cpu, you'll get less frames per second than with a stronger one, with the same gpu. That is a cpu bottlenecking the gpu, because it can not deliver all information for the gpu in time.

In the intensive games you listed. It most certainty bottlenecks. If you want to avoid this stick with GPUs that are around $250 (Dont know what euros will be). You can either go with r9 280x or a GTX 960 (THIS ONE DEPENDS ON YOUR RESOLUTION!). In CPU intensive games like BF4 the CPU will struggle to keep up, this will lead to lower FPS.

if the past is any indication the r9 380 or 380x should be within 300-350$.

Get gtx 970/980 Dont wait for R9 3xx series, AMD GPUs consumes a lot of Electricity,

I don't care about power usage. I have a 730W PSU which would be enought for every single GPU and even some dual ones.

I would get an GTX 970, but 3.5 GB vram issue uhh.
I don't think I will exed that but I don't like to buy something that the manufacture lies for. So I will most likely be waiting for 300 series of AMD.

Hopefully, it will not be a long wait and we'll have a better idea before the end of next month.

... Also help clarify just what exactly are the Fiji XT and Bermuda XT, what versions have the stacked VRAM, and where they fall in the over-all product stack against other Radeons and nVidia cards.

The sad thing is Bermuda will most likely be liquid cooled. AMD for some reason cannot make high end cards without so much damn heat. Remember the 295x?
