Max i5 4690 temp?

So intel says max temp is 72.72 degrees celcius so that means that if my cpu reaches 72 degrees it will be damaged ?

No,it's max "safe" temperature, once the CPU reaches above 90c it will throttle itself to cool down,so no damage easily.

Not necessary damaged when it hits 72, but it could be throttling at the temp.

If you're CPU it hitting that temp, go for a new cooler, or apply new thermal paste

im reaching 64-65 degrees at 78-80% load on my i5 4690 thats why im afraid btw im using stock cooler

Get a better cooler, temps till 80 is safe.

your fine just keep track of it and if it doesn't seem to be moving up your good to go but if your worried you can always get a better cooler.
