[SOLVED] Max memory for Dell Optiplex 3010 ?

Hello, I was wondering if I can upgrade my Optiplex 3010 to 16gb ram?
Also, would it work well with an RX 580 AISURIX 2048SP?

I managed to get my hands on a refurbished Dell Optiplex 3010 for $47.50 with the following specs:
i5-3570
Dell motherboard.
8gb RAMMAX 1600MHZ DDR3
120GB SSD
250 Watts built-in PSU (Planning to upgrade this if I get a GPU)

Some sources say that its max memory is just 8gb, but some say its 16gb so I'm not really sure. Another 8gb 1600mhz would cost me $10, so I was just wondering if I could upgrade with another ?

It looks like the mobo has 2 ram slots with a max of 4GB per slot.

Open the pc and look......how many slots are there and how many are being used?

Maximum supported RAM is 8GB (2 x 4GB) according to page 11 in the official Technical Guidebook:

There's just two slots on the green Dell motherboard, so that means it's only good for 8gb then? (4gb x2)

Can't advise you on that since it's a prebuilt PC so motherboard upgrades for it are outside my expertise.

You can try fitting in a 2x8GB kit and see what happens.

Make sure of the return policy from where you buy the ram.

I understand, I don't think upgrading the motherboard is worth the trouble as well, but are there any tweaks or workaround that can convert it to 16gb tho? If not, I might as well stick with the 8gb.

Got it, I think I can borrow my brother's Hyper X 8gb x2 set. I'll try that, but if there's nothing I can do, I'll stick to 8gb.
