Max number of auras?

First of all, I'm not dead (contrary to popular belief). Still here
just in major lurk mode.

Second, with the release of the new runewords, what is the maximum
number of auras ONE character can now have? As far as I can figure, a
Paladin can now have 7 active auras at once:

Paladin:
Weapon - Hand Of Justice - Level 16 Holy Fire
Helmet - Dream - Level 15 Holy Shock
Armor - Bramble - Level 15-21 Thorns
Shield - Exile - Level 13-16 Defiance

Plus Paladin's aura

Act 2 Merc:
Weapon Option #1- Doom - Level 12 Holy Freeze
Weapon Option #2 - Insight - Level 12-17 Meditation
Weapon Option #3 - Infinity - Level 12 Conviction
Weapon Option #4 - Pride - Level 18 Concentration

Plus Merc's aura

OR

Act 3 Merc:
Weapon - Lawbringer - Level 18 Sanctuary
Shield - Phoenix - Level 10 Redemption

Anyone have any other ideas?

Since you asked... Well, I think Dragon has a Holy Fire Aura (lvl 16)
even though it isnt shown on the AS. So that adds one to the merc. Or
better yet, whoever uses the HoJ should use it for a lvl 30 Holy Fire
Aura.

More fun... Dream in Helm and Shield, HoJ and Dragon for weapon and
armour, 60 in resist auras, 20 in Holy Freeze. Merc with Infinity.
Although it's all a bit rich for me.

in addition to auras, my question is also what about spirits. You can
get oak sage and heart of the wolverine from runewords. Could you get
both run concurrently?

If the minion is granted by an item, yes, you can have them concurrently.
In fact, when I created by Necrozon, I had a small army of minions walking
around with me.

Okay, now let's take this further - What's the maximum number of auras that
can affect a single character at one time? Say you get 8 Paladins, equip 3
with Wisp Projectors, and get 1 of each druid spirit, equip 1 with a CtA
weapon to get all the Barbarian auras, give 6 of them Act 2 mercs with all
different auras, (well, Holy Freeze doesn't affect allies, so that's
optional. Maybe replace him with an Act 3 merc), I think you could have the
following:

1. Might (merc)
2. Thorns (merc)
3. Prayer (merc)
4. Defiance (merc)
5. Blessed Aim (merc)
6. Oak Sage (Wisp Projector)
7. Heart of the Wolverine (Wisp Projector)
8. Spirit of Barbs (Wisp Projector)
9. Shout (CtA)
10. Battle Orders (CtA)
11. Battle Command (CtA)
12. Meditation (Paladin #1)
13. Cleansing (Paladin #2)
14. Resist Fire (Paladin #3)
15. Resist Cold (Paladin #4)
16. Resist Shock (Paladin #5)
17. Salvation (Paladin #6)
18. Vigor (Paladin #7)
19. Concentration (Paladin #8)
20. Fanaticism (Beast Weapon)

Now, all of that was done without using any of the new runewords. The only
ones that are missing are:

Conviction
Holy Fire
Holy Freeze
Holy Shock
Redemtion
Sanctuary

All of which do not affect your allies, so it wouldn't add more. Now, using
the new runeword Harmony, you could eliminate the Vigor Paladin, and replace
him with either an Assassin (to use Fade or Burst of Speed), or with a
Sorceress (to use Thunderstorm). Obviously, this Assassin or Sorceress
would need to be equipped with an item which uses one of those other 6
auras, suggesting Hand of Justice for the Holy Fire aura, and we've now
successfully equipped a single character with a grand total of 22 seperate
auras, using only 1 new runeword. Come to think of it, make it a Sorceress
using Hand of Justice and Spirit Ward, and she can get her own Fade aura
from that, making 23. If there's any way to get more than that, I couldn't
say. The hardest part would be that you'd never be able to tell when the
limited-duration auras (the CtA auras and Fade) ran out, because it has so
many to cycle through. At least the Thunderstorm aura is still visible even
when other auras are being displayed.

I left Holy Freeze out intentionally, as it does not affect other allies,
only enemies. The point was to try and get as many auras around one
character as possible, so a Holy Freeze merc would not help in this case.
Of course, the target character (the Sorc in the first post) could wear an
item that grants her the aura, as well as maybe a few other auras which
don't affect her teammates, and thus raise the bar even higher, now that I
think about it, but I don't feel like getting into that just now...

And I suppose that the fact that I did most of that from memory without
