max overclock on my cpu?

Hi I was wondering how high I can overclock my cpu (my friend has a amd fx 6300 @ 4.43 from 3.5 on a coolermaster hyper 212 evo) I have same cooler but a amd fx 8350. Thanks in advance

No one can really give you a solid answer on this question, because there are certain variables that play in overclocking. First, not every CPU can reach the same overclock some people can reach 4.3GHz on that 8350 while others can reach 4.8GHz, it's all based on the "silicone lottery", if your motherboard is decent, and you have a decent CPU cooler. Just do your research on overclocking on your CPU. My knowledge on overclocking anything is somewhat limited (especially CPUs), so hopefully you can get a better answer than mine, from someone.

Just to add power deliver (MoBo). FX series processors get VERY VERY power hungry at higher clocks. You will need adequate power deliver to the CPU (# of phases). I would suggest researching FX overclocking specifically, from what I understand it can be a bit of an art.

Thanks for input i looked someone got 5.0 on a 6300 im going to look into my cpu a little later
