max payne 2 not working in windows 8.1 64 bit

i recently downloaded max payne 2 and install it which was done correctly without any error but when i ry to run i didn't start but was running in task manager. so what could i do to resolve it....

Have you tried right clicking and running in compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 3?

yes i did that but no result

Did you run it through steam, or directly via the .exe? people say that makes a difference. Run it through the .exe file, not through steam.

no i run it directly via .exe

Looks Like Max Payne 2 Cannot Run On Your Windows 8.1 64bit. Try It On Windows 8.1 32bit

moved it to system drive c and it worked like charm

Good Looks Like You Installed Max Payne 2 On C And Then Cut It And Pasted It In Another Drive. That's Why.
