Hello all,

I thought I would ask all of you with CD burners, if any of you have burned the new Max Payne game???

Any info would be helpful.

Use CloneCD, and then you must install it and use a NoCD crack. Careful, it's hard to get right.

FatBurger,

Thanks for the fast reply.

This Clone CD sounds difficult. Is it possibly destructive to the original cd (Max Payne)? And is there some web page I can go to that would explain the process in a bit more detail so I don't screw this thing up???

Thanks again.

No, you can't destroy the original CD. CloneCD is a very simple program that works wonders (for certain things).
Another idea would be to copy the CD to your hard drive using a program like 'Virtual Drive' or 'Daemon tools'. Then it will read the CD off the hard drive like it is in your CD-ROM.

Thanks again FatBurger,

Copying it to the hard drive is a very good idea, any idea how large Max Payne is?

Thanks again.

This place has all the no-CD patches you will ever need to satisfy all your burning desires, Includeing the one for Max Payne. This site also lets you know what protection method is being used so you can best defeat it. It also has guides for making back up copies of your cd's. Typically you copy all the files to the new cd plus the zipped crack then you install off the burned cd extract the patch and then put it in a specific game folder. usually it modifies the main executable to not check for the origional cd. http:// http://www.gamecopyworld.com/

install insektor and then clonecd it with fast error skip and don't copy the sub data. or screw up your copy cause you didn't use insektor and try www.daemon-tools.com SD2 emulation. there is also a way to patch SD2 clonecd images, but it might work and it might not so if you do test it with the emulation in daemon-tools off in their virtual cd rom drive.

SD2 can't be burnt with a non SD2 compatible burner. the newest version of SD2 also includes a atip check so even if you do make a perfect copy with your sd2 burner (like the plex 24x) you still need to use the copy in a non burner drive.

I have no idea what 'Starlancer' is.

would there be any need for a no cd crack
Often a program/game will install, but not run (saying the correct CD is not in the drive). Test it, and if it doesn't work, get a no cd crack. It depends entirely on the software and method used for copying.

EDIT: Ouch, that muffed quote tag made the whole thread look like ass :)
