What is the highest(or best) PPI that can be distinguished by a human eye when viewing a screen from 60cm away?

um, no it doesn't. depends only on eye, age of person, quality of their vision (20/20 or better or worse), and distance.

there's been plenty of articles and videos on the subject, ever since apple came out with their silly retina branding. VSauce has a great video of that on youtube - go watch it. it depends on a lot of things, and also on whether you want to ignore the dead spots.
