Max ram allowed?

Hi,
I have a Giga-Byte GA-M68MT-S2P motherboard.
I currently have 4gb ram installed on it.
Now the motherboard has 2 sockets. I need to know if I can replace the 4gb slot with an 8gb ram and install another 8gb ram in the other free socket, Can my motherboard do that?

Yes - your motherboard will accept 1333 MHz RAM.

Please keep in mind that 32-bit OS can handle only up to 4 GBs of RAM - 64-bit OS can handle more than 4 GB up to the limitation of the motherboard.
