As "standards" seem to change every couple years and become more expensive, would it make sense to buy 4 16gb matching sticks or just stick with the 2 x16gb and hope when and if I need 64gb it's still reasonable and I can find a match? Mind you , I still have a i7 2600k still going strong, that thing is going on 10 yrs so I do keep computers running and re-purposed.

Thanks in advance.

Current
i9 9900k
2 16bg Corsair Veng Pro (should I just get two more so all 4 match perfectly??)

Even buying the exact same make and model is not guaranteed to work, only RAM bought in a single kit is guaranteed to work together. Also when running 4 dimms you are more likely to run into problems hitting the rated speed especially on higher speed RAM.

Gotcha and thanks. I'm still within the return/exchange window (13 days left) so I can get the 64gb kit. I'll think about it.
