Max RAM speed compatible with FX-8350

I saw my mobo can run RAM at 2000 clockspeed, but I'm hearing that my CPU might max out at support for 1866 RAM.

My question is, even though my mobo can support 2000 RAM, does the FX-8350 support 2000 ram?

The CPU is rated up to 1866 at 1 stick per channel or 2 sticks - some 8350's have been able to run 2133, but not all...if the 2133 you see is about the same price as 1866 - go for i, if need be can always clock down to 1866 and tighten the timings

It can by OCing. But the max seems to top out around 2133 for the memory controllers on those chips.

Got ram to run at 2400 with 8350 fx and sabretooth 990 fx r1 & latest bios. Over clocked profile corsair vengeance 2400 at 1.65 volts, system crashed during benchmark possibly due to not optimising system volts still playing with it have settled for 4632 ghz cpu 2230s ram for now only got cpu today. Custom watercooled using feser fluids about 1.2 litres in loop using 240 twin fan rad and d5 pwm pump topped off with dvd style drivebay clear reservoir, acid green coolant looks cool

Very good! what set of DRAM and what timings are you using, can find them in CPU-Z under the memory tab
