Question Max RAM speed for intel fore i5-9400f?

I’m thinking of getting a 9th gen intel core i5-9400f. I would like to know that max ram speed this core would allow. I know the i5-9600k will max at 3200 MHz. But I was wondering if the 9400f is the same or lower?

Note that the official max ram speed for that cpu is DDR4 2666... however, if you have a 'Z' series motherboard, it will allow you to 'overclock' the ram to a faster kit (even though the cpu itself is locked), so it depends on the motherboard you use. If you use anything other than a Z series board (e.g. a 'H' or 'B' chipset motherboard) then there's no point going for faster than 2666 ram (a faster kit would work, but would be restricted to the slower speed).

Same as 9600k. Intel spec says 2666, but you can go higher.
