Depends how much can you increase (core clock, memory clock /and temperature/power set power and temp to max) till you start crashing, you need furmark to stress test gpu and probably heaven benchmark for testing stability of card.

Graphics card vendors are wise to overclocking.
They bin their chips and use the better ones in overclocked versions like SC or FTW versions.
Your expectations should be modest.

You may be lucky and get a decent boost.
You will never know until you try.

I do not bother.

For a gtx 1060 i would start with a 120+ core and 500+ memory than i would add 12+ to core and 50+ to memory untill it crashes. when it does try adding 10% power limit and see if that helps it. i also recommend using heaven benchmark to test if the overclock is stable.

i managed to get 2080 core and 4600 memory on my gigabyte g1 1060 without extra power.
