Hello all, Im getting a cpu cooler in the mail today, surprise (hyper 212 evo), and I plan to run prime95 after installation to check the temps etc. My question is, what the heck is the max tempurature for my CPU, an AMD Athlon X4 750K. I went to AMD's site and entered the model # (AD750KWOHJBOX) and in the product description it lists nothing in the max temp(C) slot! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. And btw...Im a noob so bear with my noobness

yeah it went up to 86C a couple days ago, do you think I've damaged my CPU? I couldn't get a hold of any thermal paste to reapply the heatsink fan...hope I didn't damage my new build :/. My new cpu cooler and plenty of thermal paste are coming in the mail at any time btw

is it weird that my 750k is running at 55C when it has a slight overclock of 4.09GHz??? I am still using the stock cooler and everything
My CPU has never gone anywhere close to 75C

Is that 55c in full load? 55c is quite low for 4.09GHz (which i guess is 4095MHz exactly with OC Genie :) ).

Haha, yup its with OC Genie...It is only running at 55C after about a hour of BF4 gameplay, so do you think I could go higher with the Overclock? Or should I get a better cooler first

I had 56-57c@3700MHz with the stock heatsink, that's why i said your 55c is quite low considering you OC'd it to 4095MHz. Get a better cooler if you want to go further with the OC tho :).

I got to 85 C running Prime95 for a whopping 3 minutes at stock speeds and stock cooler. Voltage maxed at about [strike]1.4 though for some reason. I don't know how to lower it.[/strike]1.3V. This is normal voltage for stock clock speeds, correct?
