My motherboard is DG41WV. How much HDD storage can i install in this. now I have 500 GB hard disk. can I install another! TB HDD on it? I mean total !.G TB is supported?
Hey Monish. HDD size is indeed restricted by some of the operating systems, but in this case the motherboard itself doesn't support larger HDDs than 2TB. So you should be OK with a hard drive which is 2TB or less, as long as the OS supports that capacity as well.
Assuming XP +, you can run another drive. I think the G41 runs SATA II ports. And the bios should be new enough to handle 4TB drives. 2TB and smaller for sure.

As I mentioned in my previous post - you shouldn't go for drive which has larger capacity than 2TB. This answer comes straight from the Intel customer support when asked about what's the maximum size of HDDs supported by this motherboard.
You'll have no problem with drives which are 2TB or less.

Hope that helps.

500gb for operating system and 2tb for secondary for files is it ok? Equal to 2.5tb Or hdd<=2tb?
You don't add the drives together like that. If the board or OS supports drives up to X size, then thats the size you can run. You can run as many of them as you can if you want. The board is able to track up to 2TB of data per SATA port.
