Maximum RAM frequency on GA-H81M-DS2V(LGA1150) Mobo.

Hi,
I have a GA-H81M-DS2V(LGA1150) Mobo. The RAM i have installed is 1333MHz. Can I run 1600 on the same Mobo? The Manufacturer's website claims 1333/1600 but it is not clear if there is only one Mobo that supports both or they manufacture 2 different versions of this Mobo?

...the specs are spelled out under "memory". Yes you can run 1600 MHz RAM on that board. Why would you think there are 2 GA-H81M-DS2V boards with different specs?

Yes, this is my board. I was convinced on the 1600MHz but then when I downloaded the table with the supported RAM I saw that actually there are two separate tables in one document: the first table is named "Model Name: H81M-DS2V DDR3 1600" and the second one - "Model Name: H81M-DS2V DDR3 1333". That's what got me thinking: "Oh, are there two different models of this board?!"

I would appreciate any help and also a clarification of: if I buy 1600 and the board supports 1333 only - can I run the new 1600 on 1333 without complications?

Yes, you can always run faster RAM at a slower speed. The RAM rating listed is just the max it is guaranteed to run trouble-free at. RAM can always be made to run faster or slower by the user.

In the case of your system, the memory controller is actually on the CPU itself. That is what will determine the RAM speed. But rest assured, you won't have any problem with 1600 MHz. What CPU do you have?
