Hello,

I have an MSI GP72 2QE Leopard Pro laptop that I bought in 2016. It has an MSI MS-1793 rev. 0.B motherboard and RAM 2x8GB DDR3 PC3-12800.
What is the maximum amount of RAM I can have in my laptop? Can I put 2x16GB in it?
Did I read correctly on the Internet that:
  1. one DDR3 memory module can be up to 8GB?
  2. only DDR4 memory is available as 16GB?
I am asking for tips.

you can have a max of 2 x DDR3L-1600 MHz,max 16GB you can't use DDR4, why did you think that?

you can only use ONE 8GB stick of DDR3L-1600 MHz per slot.

Crucial's website has an app that can determine your memory upgrade. You can either buy that from them direct or take that part number to Amazon to get better deals potentially.

this kit would work
https://www.amazon.com/Timetec-1600...keywords=DDR3L-1600+MHz&qid=1626380404&sr=8-3

when you buy RAM, always buy in kits, so they are guaranteed to work with each other at the advertised RAM speed
