Maximum Refresh Rate?

Hi, I'm thinking of getting a new monitor and came across an IPS monitor. It has a 6 ms response time. I game quite a lot and want to know if switching from my current TN panel with a 5ms response time to the ips panel with a 6 ms response time will effect me since I game a reasonable amount. Is 6ms response time too high or is it fine?

All those ms figures are a lie; they use an artificial test to get them that never occurs in real life.

Having said that, one THOUSANDTH of a second difference is not noticeable; what you will see is how gorgeous the colours look on the IPS screen, compared to the TN.

(Except black, which can looked a bit washed out at times).

Black should also be better on ips but there is also the infamous ips glow which could make it worse. If you haven't gotten the monitor, I would suggest a different monitor. Those budget ips monitors aren't worth it even if they are better than tn. Va shouldn't be much different in price.
