Maximum vcore for 6700K

Solution

This all depends on cooling.
If you have good enough cooling you can go as high as you want, but you want to aim for the 4.6/4.7GHz mark in my opinion.
Intel actually has a free warranty on all k series CPUs, replacing any that die under a certain voltage.
For the 6700k their max recommended voltage is 1.52v, because if you go over this point, it is out of their control and your warranty is void.
However, if you are one of those people who pushes their CPU to the absolute limit, you can purchase a specialty warranty plan from Intel to insure yourself.

Thanks for the info dude much appreciate it. As far as I am aware Intel's plan does not cover:

Damage to the Eligible Processor due to external causes, including accident, problems with electrical power, abnormal electrical, mechanical or environmental conditions, usage not in accordance with product instructions, misuse, neglect, alteration, repair, improper installation, or improper testing;

So in my case, me frying out my 6700K on 1.995V it wont be of any help! Yeah accidents happen, and I was stupid enough to fall into it..
