Hopefully you guys can help. This build is for a friend. they sourced the parts new from newegg.com Powering on the pc it runs through its preboot and stops with a Code 62 in the top right corner. Apparently that is an issue with the VGA because the little white led that is next to VGA is lit up solid and does not continue on from that point.
I have tried removing the video card and using a different one, and also trying a diff. pci-e slot with no success. I have seen that maybe flashing the bios may fix it.
Can anyone chime in here and let me know, is the MB bad, is it just a simple bios flash.. and if so how do you flash the bios if you never get any image on the screen.
Also one more note. This is the Maximus 8 hero/whetstone. but I'm not sure if there is any difference between this and the Maximus 8 hero or the Alpha.
