Maximus Extreme release date/price?

Has anyone heard anything about the release date or price? I heard that it would release this Wednesday, Nov. 7th and would be available by Friday. A couple of UK websites has the board for around $400 US. But I can't find anything about a US release or price.

i am curious about the release of the non-SE version too.

i just gave back my SE version yesterday and im $449 AUD richer lol

You are not wrong....

Staticice.com.au will find our best prices, or if you have a trusted friend in the US send him the cash and pay extra for the shipping. I generally find that I can get it cheaper locally than going the second route.

i chatted to a newegg helpdesk person and said they do not ship internationally at this time.

Is there a reason that ASUS has been so quiet abou the Maximus Extreme release date? Is this normal? I can't even get an answer from them...but why would they keep this such a secret? grrrrr...this is killing me

its coz their initial release of the max formula SE was effed up.

probably 50% was defective, thats why i got a refund for mine

i ddnt want to risk any issues, so i will wait for the "standard" vers

Can you please provide more details of these defective Maximus Formula boards? How about other Asus X38 boards?

I read that people have problems with the OC settings of Maximus Formula but I did not hear anything about defects.
