Maximus Formula iX 1151 LGA Work with i7 8700k?

I have a Formula IX & was wondering if the new processors i7 8700k 6 core will work in my motherboard I currently hav i7700k

No. Though eighth gen "Coffee Lake" chips use the same socket as sixth- and seventh- gen chips they require an updated 300-series chipset. A new mobo would be needed.
