Hi, i just build my new pc. I installed everything without any problem and the pc worked fine. Then i wanted to update the BIOS, so i inserted the usb stick and clicked the mb button for updating the bios.
The problem started when the flashback led never stoped. So after waiting 5 mins, i turned off the psu and restarted the pc. Now the Q-Cope of the IX Hero says "00". This q-code represents "not used". After reading a while i found that when this code shows off, means that i got a problem with the motherboard, cpu or psu.
I allready tried clearing CMOS (it brings a button for this), but nothing works.
Im a bit desesperated.
Any help, solution?

Sorry for my english.

Never interrupt a BIOS update. If it appears to freeze, just walk away and come back in an hour or so.

Your BIOS is likely no longer capable of booting the board and the board is now a very expensive paper weight.

Contact Asus for customer assistance. Tell them it malfunctioned during the update. Don't mention that you interrupted the update.

Read your motherboard manual.
section 3.11.3 regarding crash free bios recovery.
You should be able to recover the bios using the dvd that came with your motherboard, or you can try reapplying the update again.
A flash can take a long time and appear to be doing nothing.

And.. for the future, do not update a bios unless it fixes a problem that is impacting you.

I allready tried reapplying the update, and the process ends. But still not working and the q-code still says "00". I was reading my reseller warranty page, says that they dont cover software problems. Am i fucked up?

For doing the update on BIOS? Yes, i do. I used an Asus utiliy that do it by itself. I mean, the utility istalls the MB BIOS file into the USB and i only have to do the BIOS flashback.

The Q-code still sasy "00" and the CPU red led its on. What this means??

Try downloading the latest version from https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-MAXIMUS-IX-HERO/HelpDesk_Download/
Unzip and rename the MAXIMUS-IX-HERO-ASUS-0801.CAP to M9H.CAP
Save the renamed file on a FAT 32 formatted USB drive.
Connect the drive to the dedicated USB port

Don't start the board, just make sure that the power supply is connected and on.
Press the Flashback button for 3 seconds.
Wait until the process stops (more than 10 secs).

Tryied again just like the manual and you said. Still 00 q-code and red led. Did i killed my mb and my cpu? my god

Could you have some other simple explanation?
Perhaps the main or aux power plugs are not fully seated.
Or, the other end is not fully into the psu.
Perhaps you have a motherboard short.

If all else fails, contact asus support.
This is not a software issue if you can not get into the bios.
You may have to RMA the motherboard.

Yes, of course

Apprears immediately

Exactly 2 mins. The last two times i tried it was the same

My reseller page says that they dont cover BIOS upgrade failures, what can i do? Asus neither? Or they dont have nothing to do?

Probably a mobo problem right? because before i wanted to update the bios, the pc worked fine.
