MAXIMUS VI GENE or MAXIMUS VI HERO for harcore gaming purposes?

Hey I am building my PC for the first time and I don't want to get anything wrong! ...So guys please tell me which is the best among these both MAXIMUS VI HERO or MAXIMUS VI GENE?
My requirements are Hardcore gaming at ultra settings on 1080p, 40 inch HDTV. Best-est audio quality in preferred. Average overclocking. Few video conversions and Photoshop.
BTW I'll be using Intel i7-4770K, R9-290X, Vengeance 16GB RAM, BD drive, 128 GB SSD, 2TB HDD.

PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER THEIR PRICE TAG!

Depends if you need multiple GPUs and intend to plug in other devices. If going multi-GPU a full size ATX board has more options.

ok ...and what about audio and performance comparison? which of them performs better? and just one mroe thing that if we compare these both with Z87-Pro, then which will outperform and in which & which areas?

I know I have asked a ton of question, but its my first time and want everything to got fine, so please it would be really very helpful if you could answer them all!
