maximus vi hero mobo
i7 4770k(haswel) cpu
palit gtx 780 gpu
corsair dominator platinum 1600mhz (2x8)16gb ram
cooler master 240mseidon cooling system
intel 335 ssd 240 gb storage
corsair ax1200 psu
case haf x

The power supply is overkill. You could get a 250 GB Samsung 840 instead of the Intel 335, much better value for money. And for gaming, you're not going to see a real difference between a Core i7-4770K and a cheaper Core i5-4670K.

PSU is overkill. I know i own it :lol:. Also the corsair dominator platinums are a complete waste of money. Look for some G. Skill 1866/2133

oh well cant do anything lol already bought does part and besides im going to upgrade soon 2xgpu sli im noob wen comes to build =) + no refund policy when comes to incompatibilty issue...

Idk..but a little birdie told me the Gene is better than Hero.
Probably from an overclocking point of view.

They're essentially identical when it comes to overclocking. The Gene adds a few features in other regards, but also gets cut down to mATX.

i dont have ay idea when comes to overclocking i dont my if vene or hero is better only i care if i can get 4.0 but life span of my build doesnt effect any of thos set up

geez am abit confuse were to plug my hdd and ssd...i have 8 ports intel z87 and asmedia serial ata...guys whichs is better...i want my os on ssd hdd will be storage and some non important program and i would like to use a ramdisk
what should i do?

Plug them into the native ports controlled by the Z87 chipset. Secondary controllers suck.

tnx for the reply...i will do a quick off topic question is ramdisk good for ssd life span and how do i set it up if i want my tempfiles and unwanted files on browser be move on the ramdisk like the cache pagfile it is advisable
