I brought new ram, put ram in it only showed i had 4gb in when i had 2x4gb. I swapped ram to see if that fixed it it did not. I went to see what ram was not working by taking one out at a time and because i'm an idiot i forgot to turn pc off when taking ram out. now i get the Q-CODE FE when ever i start up with ram in or out and even my spear ram.

Solution
sorry for late reply,
FE = reserved for future ami error code

i think bios has corrupt while you pull out ram when pc run... is there any asus flashbios button onboard.
how do i remove the cmos battery, the little red button that says clear cmos?

To there is another red button that says CLR_CMOS at the bottom of the mother board, it's on the right of a black button that says SOUNDSTAGE. I am not very confident with taking and putting back things so i would like to avoid doing that if possible.

Did what you said and the code is still FE but i don't know how pressing the button would do anything while there is no power going through the board. Wait by start board u mean just turn on the PC? or click the start button on the motherboard

Do you have access to different DRAM you could try? Even a single stick? Remove battery while unplugged for a minute or two, reinset battery, install one stick in slot closest to CPU and try to boot to BIOS - if you get to BIOS date/time should be wrong and old

I do have a spear stick to use, and by remove battery u mean take out the psu? also boot bios do you mean just turn on the pc or do something else. Sorry if i don't understand everything i am just learning about computer parts and am not very confident when doing things with my pc. And thanks for taking the time to help me

Ok well found mobo battery but it is behind the GPU, i took the gpu out then the battery waited a bit put them back in then one ram stick started the pc and still FE
