Question Maximus vii ranger

I recently brought a new motherboard with new cpu and ram it didn't work in the beginning as it crashed almost instantly to any new game such as splitgate cod etc we changed the ram it still isn't working I know the graphics card and cpu are find but it still crashes after 5 minute of playing minecraft or splitgate. If someone has experienced this problem or who would like to help please leave some helpful feed back in the comments. Thank you for your time.

What processor model and RAM models are you attempting to use?
Did you purchase the motherboard new or "new to you" (used)?

used and a intel i-7 4790k (notoverclocked) and i am using 2 8gb sticks but ram isn't the problem because we changed them and it still didn't make a difference

What BIOS version is running on the motherboard? An update wasn't necessary for your CPU to be compatible, but I'm leaning towards a faulty motherboard. If a BIOS update went wrong, maybe resetting to version 0601 might resolve the issue.

Also, I know you said the graphics card was fine, but have you tested these games with just the integrated GPU of the processor (graphics card completely removed from the system)?
