Hey all,
since this motherboard support just one rgb header,I need to know the following:
Can I use this splitter on my motherboard:
I want to connect RGB led strip which requires 14.4 W on one connector of splliter cable and on next one I'd like to use this:
https://www.raidmax.com/product_d.php?lang=en&tb=1&cid=27&id=609
I see that header on MB supports 2A 12V which is 24W and as you can see 14.4W is led strip and 3 fans run at 3x2.76W which is all together just a bit more then 22W but lower then 24W.
I hope that is okay,so will there be any issues connecting both devices (led strip+3 fans),or lets make it simple:
Can I use above splitter cable on this MB?

There are several issues with your setup:
1) Your MoBo (Asus ROG MAXIMUS VIII FORMULA) has 1x 4-pin RGB header. Further reading from MoBo manual, page 1-46.

2) That Akasa RGB splitter is for 3-pin ARGB headers, not for 4-pin RGB headers. In other words, it doesn't work with your MoBo.
RGB splitter that does work with your MoBo must be 4-pin, like the one offered by Cooler Master,
specs: https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/coolers/rgb-accessories/1-to-3-rgb-splitter-cable/

3) How many pins your LED strip has? If it's 3-pin (addressable) then you can't get it working with your MoBo. Only 4-pin (non-addressable) LED strips work with your MoBo.

4) Raidmax fans have proprietary 6-pin connector that connects directly to the included 3-way splitter, while the other end is molex connector for a power source. There is also a (bluetooth?) receiver inside the cable to accept remote signals. There is no other cable going from these fans to anywhere else, making any other form of RGB control impossible.
