Maximus Viii ranger no signal on moniter.

So i just build a new rig.


i7 - 6700k
700w psu
Asus rog Maximuss viii ranger
gtx 970 SLI 4gb


I tried to boot it up followed the manual, i get no signal, i took out the 1 ram block cleared cmos still nothing.

Took out one gpu, tried with 1, still nothing. took it all out put it back in still nothing.

tried taking out both gpu and using onboard hdmi still no signal.

Is my mobo dead or what?

it turns on 1 beep, and says the nr "53" on the led display.

any suggestions?

i have taken one out thou, due to cmos clearing.

i just tried plugging them in a different slot, i got signal and number 99? is that okay? and safe to plug in keyb etc?

i get the bios now, but nothing more really, wont start up w7 says cpu fan speed error?

cpu fan error on asus mb you have the cpu fan plugged into the cpu aux port on the mb plug it into the cpu fan port 1 next to it. also from another pc download the newest bios file for the mb and use the mb bios updater inside the bios to update the bios to the newest rev.

aite its working now, oh well work in 4 hours and its 2 am gg sleep.

hmm, pc is only seeing 1 of my ram blocks, so only getting 8gb, while i have both plugged in and should have 16?

with the pc off ram should be in a0 and b0. make sure there both locked in. before you shut down make sure the mb has the newest bios file on the mb.

i have bios open atm, how do i update?

downlaod the 1504 bios and unzip it.
copy it to usb stick.
plug usb stick in.
go to ulitlity tab in the bios and you see tab called bios updater. click on it and let it run. it ask where the bios file is..point it to the usb stick. it find the bios 1504.cap
hit yes let it run.
on reboot on the main bios page it say bios rev 1504.
